On September 28, 2023, an expert-scientific conference on urban and peri-urban nature To the Maximum on the Side of Nature was held in the Kraš Auditorium on Zagreb’s Ravnice, organized by the Public Institution Maksimir and under the auspices of the Mayor of the City of Zagreb, Mr. Tomislav Tomašević.

With a wide range of expert presenters from relevant public bodies, institutions, institutes, initiatives, associations and companies, diverse knowledge and experiences related to the preservation of urban and peri-urban biodiversity, geodiversity and landscape diversity as well as their role in adapting to climate change and maintaining the quality of life of urban residents were presented.

Our helpdesk consultant for nature Inja Kajgana presented the goals and possibilities of the LIFE programme and several LIFE projects with the theme of nature protection in urban and peri-urban environments: UrbanLIFEcircles, LIFEPollinAction, LIFE LxAquila, LIFE CityRiver and LIFE VIA DE LA PLATA.
